A sale needs context
A menu item may relate to several ingredients. Product and recipe information provides the link between the sale and the stock it represents. Keeping that information current is part of maintaining a useful stock result.
Movements matter
Purchases and transfers change what you expect to find at a location. If the supporting records are incomplete, the result can raise questions that the sales data alone cannot answer.
